In collaboration with a local team of photographers, models, and townspeople, we found not just a location but a collection of untold stories that wait to be shared with you. While the camera shutter went off, the deep-rooted history of this small beach town was captured, blending incredible architecture and landscapes with the invisible, but noticeable, energy of the ocean. This collaboration allows us to share a story that’s written through the eyes of those who live and breathe the Puerto Escondido lifestyle everyday.

Located in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido’s architecture carries the town’s deep history in every brick. Buildings infused with indigenous and foreign influences, blend with nature and showcase the diversity of the country’s cultures. Buildings, that draw from indigenous cultures, have complex geometry that now merge with our modern age and technology to have minimal impact on our environment. Innovation meeting monumental art. Architectural layouts underline the local’s profound connection to the ocean, dating back to the Mayan age, who worshipped the sea, buildings that run linearly and parallel to the beach.

Situated along the pacific coast, Puerto Escondido is the epitome of a vibrant and active culture. But as surfers head to the shores, and fishermen prepare for their daily catch, time feels slowed - people savouring every moment and appreciating the simple, yet unmissable beauty of community and connection that is lived, shared, and celebrated with warmth and authenticity.
